Austen Lane is one of the more inked fighters in the UFC. While the UFC has no shortage of tattoo enthusiasts, Lane is up there in the top percentile of the most tattooed guys in the Las Vegas-based promotion. His most distinctive tattoo is a ‘Big Boy’ tattoo on his right arm. It is a reference to a former fast food chain that was Austen’s favorite.

Austen Lane will take on Jhonata Diniz in the latter’s first foray into the UFC. And the matchup is not a favorable one for the American. Lane is on a horrible run of form and has not won any of his four fights since joining the UFC back in 2023. Lane, like Diniz, is a Dana White’s Contender Series alumni and got his UFC contract following a successful bout at the Apex. Lane’s stint at the UFC began on a sour note as his debut bout against Justin Tafa was ruled a no-contest due to an eye poke.
The duo ran back their bout some months later but Lane suffered a knockout loss in it. And it has been only downhill ever since as he is yet to win a bout in the promotion. But, in his upcoming heavyweight bout against Jhonata Diniz, he has the opportunity to turn around the narrative and get some respect for his name. Diniz is coming into the bout on an undefeated streak and is easily expected to win against Lane. And if the former NFL player can manage to get over the debutante, it would be a significant upset.
