Bermuda Swimmers Continue To Win Medals

Bermuda claimed another six medals on the third finals night of the Carifta Aquatics Championships in Nassau, the Bahamas, yesterday [April 1].

Having already won 14 medals, including three golds, Bermuda continued their impressive performances at the Betty Kelly Kenning Aquatic Centre.

Connor Hupman, 14, picked up his fifth medal for the meet, winning gold in the boys 13-14 200 metres individual medley in 2min 18.25sec and silver in the 100 freestyle in 54.83.

Meanwhile Elijah Daley, 17, won his first gold after finishing tied for first with Christian Jermone, of Haiti, in the boys 15 and over 200 butterfly in 2:06.88. Daley also claimed silver in the 200 individual medley in 2:09.41.

Logan Watson-Brown, 20, secured her third medal of the championships after coming runner-up in the girls 18 and over 100 freestyle in 57.14.

Bermuda claimed their 20th medal when they won silver in the girls 15-17 800 freestyle relay in 8:53.11
