Herbert Morrison Technical dominated last Friday’s awards ceremony of the ISSA Western Confederation high school basketball season where they swept three competitions.

Herbert Morrison players were named Most Valuable Player (MVP) in the Boys’ Under 16 and Under 19 as well as the Girls’ Open in addition to winning most of the individual awards.

Hubert Rodney, who won awards for most three-point baskets made and most free throws, was also named MVP.

Jodel Williams of St James High won the award for most points scored, his teammate T’Sean Crossman won for most rebounds and most blocked shots while Reiki Brown was recognised for most assists.

Holland High’s Tawayne McKenzie had the most steals.

Joshua Ferguson was named MVP for the Under-16 league and also won awards for most free throws made and most three-point baskets made.

Cornwall College’s Matai Williams won the award for the most points scored, his teammate Demar Lattibaudiere won for most rebounds and most assists while the Holland High pair of Horane Webster and Evair Reid-Hines won for most steals most blocked shots, respectively.

Dandrika Whittingham was the Girls’ Open MVP and also won for most points and most steals, Nejron Stephenson won for most rebounds and Taveena Clarke for most assists.

Mt Alvernia High’s Abbygayle Campbell won the award for most blocked shots while Holland High’s Jamelia Hines won the award for most free throws, and her teammate Tessane Nesbeth for most three-pointers.
