Steve Aoki to perform at opening game of the 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship presented by Rady Children’s Hospital
World Lacrosse announced that internationally acclaimed DJ Steve Aoki will be the halftime performer at the opening game of the 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship presented by Rady Children’s Hospital at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on Wednesday, June 21, between the United States and Canada.
The 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship is set to be a monumental gathering of lacrosse fans from around the globe. With 30 teams and 107 games, the world championship promises to be an unforgettable display of the top international stars in the sport competing at the highest level. From June 21 to July 1, the competition will unfold across multiple venues, including Snapdragon Stadium, the University of San Diego’s Torero Stadium and multiple fields at San Diego State University.
At 5:30 p.m., the Opening Ceremony will begin with a vibrant display of international sportsmanship, culture and a parade of nations ahead of the tournament. Following the ceremony, spectators will be treated to an epic clash between lacrosse powerhouses as the United States faces Canada at 7 p.m. in a highly anticipated rematch of the gold medal game from the previous men’s championship in 2018.
Aoki, a world-renowned electronic dance music DJ, will take the stage at halftime.
